Happy birthday, Mac OS X! Apple's transformative software turns 10 today

Today, the Mac OS 10 turns 10.
Called Mac OS X, and codenamed by various cool wild cats, Apple's operating system launched as Cheetah on March 24, 2001. It was quickly followed up by Puma, or 10.1, which addressed the many glitches of the original Mac OS X.
