Intuit GoPayment App for iPad

Square has just released their credit card reader for iPhone hoping to get ahead in the game and yet another company is about to give it a challenge. This time it’s Intuit which just released their GoPayment app for iPad. GoPayment lets anyone who sells a product or service get paid on the spot using the GoPayment app and the customers’ credit cards. The app takes full use of the iPad’s large, high-resolution display and multi-touch interface. It also allows you to add photos to your product listing to make it easier to find these products and complete the sale transaction. Best of all, the app works well with the Intuit Credit Card Reader which is freely available for merchants who want to use it. This gives Intuit an edge over Square’s credit card reader for iPhone which is priced at $10.

GoPayment for iPad also lets you view and navigate orders as well as create new ones on a large, high-resolution screen, find products with photos, search easily for products using a new search functionality, create orders on one screen, calculates total of items as they are added into the current transactions and review past transactions in one spot.

If you’re not up to paying $10 to get the Square credit card reader for iPhone, it looks like the Intuit GoPayment app is a nice alternative, provided you can get the free Intuit credit card reader. If you do so, you can download the GoPayment app for free from the iTunes App Store.
